A Realistic Narration for Youth
Degree but No Job Solution | 9 Practical Steps Every Youth Must Follow
5. Government job is not the only path (Include Previous Article)
6. Reduce phone consumption and increase learning Many
young people today are suffering with the thought: “I have a degree but no job, what is the solution?” Studies are completed… there are hopes at home… but a job is not coming. As days pass, tension increases, confidence decreases. The question “Where is my life going?” keeps running in the mind every day.
But the truth is… a government job is not the only path. A degree is only a qualification. In today’s world, what decides your future is Skill + Practice + Discipline. If you honestly work in the right direction for 6 to 12 months… change will definitely be visible in your life. I have a degree but no job – this has a solution.
The biggest but invisible problem that youth are facing today is… Phone Addiction. 3 hours of Reels… 2 hours of Scrolling… means 5 hours per day is spent on content that gives nothing. This is not money… this is your life’s time. Watching is not change… learning is change.
You are watching other people’s lives. You are watching other people’s success. You are watching other people’s happiness. But your life is not changing. Because watching is not change. Learning is change.
Is the phone really the enemy? No.
The phone is not wrong. The problem is not the phone… it is how we use it. With the same phone, one person watches Reels all day. Another person learns skills. The result is completely different.
Now understand one truth:
If you use your phone for 5 hours a day, then in 6 months the time you spend becomes:
5 hours/day = 150 hours/month = 900 hours in 6 months.
900 hours is more than enough to learn a new skill.
What happens if you use the same time like this?
Instead of Reels & Scrolling:
2 hours Skill Learning,
1 hour Practice,
1 hour Reading/Thinking.
In 6 months:
• Your confidence increases
• Your career direction becomes clear
Your life also slowly starts changing.
Learning does not mean studying for exams.
Learning means:
• Improving a skill daily
• Learning by making mistakes
This is not for marks… this is to change your life.
Why are Reels dangerous?
Reels:
• Give instant pleasure
• Make the brain lazy
In the long run:
• Focus reduces
• Patience reduces
• Doing real work becomes difficult
This is a truth nobody tells you.
Motivation does not work without discipline.
Watching a motivation video for 10 minutes and then watching Reels the whole day is not change…
It is self-deception.
To change:
• You must have fixed learning time
• You must set limits for your phone
If you try honestly for 6 months…
You will:
• Become like a new person
• Gain clarity in your words
• See your goal clearly
Most importantly, you will gain self-respect.
Why is this extremely important for middle-class youth?
For us:
• There is no strong background
• Second chances are less
Our only path is Learning + Discipline.
A small but powerful decision:
The phone should not control you. You must control the phone.
Spend at least 2–3 hours daily for learning.
Not what you watch on your phone today… but what you learn today decides your tomorrow.
Skill-based 3–6 Months Plan
First Month (Foundation)
In this month, choose one core skill. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily to learn. Build a strong hold on basics. Use YouTube, free courses, practice platforms. Make notes and practice daily.
Second Month (Practice & Projects)
Start working on real projects. Even if it is small work, do it by yourself. Don’t fear mistakes. Start building a portfolio. Take your work to a level where you can show it to others.
Third Month (Exposure & Opportunities)
Apply for freelance platforms and internships. Show your skill on LinkedIn and social media. Start building a network. Don’t miss even a small opportunity. This is where your career takes its first turning point.
Action Plan: How to learn a skill in 90 days?
Choose one skill today. Commit to it continuously for 90 days. Apply what you learn every day. Stop comparison and increase consistency. After 90 days, you will become a new person.
Strong Conclusion – A call to youth
A degree can give you an identity. But a skill gives you a future. Don’t wait for a job. Create your value yourself. The future of this country is in your hands. Start today. Your story should not stop here.
Real truth: The 6–12 months rule
The biggest mistake youth make today is expecting quick results. The truth is, miracles do not happen in 3 months. But change will definitely be visible in 6 to 12 months. Many people quit in between. That is what keeps them behind.
Learning a little every day, practicing a little every day, becoming a little better than yesterday every day — this is real success. Moving slowly forward is not failure. It is real growth.
Consistency does not give results in one day. But over time, it changes life. Those who understand this truth do not stop in the middle. Finally, they reach their destination.
7. Patience + Discipline = The Formula of Success
We worked hard for 3 months… but if we don’t see change and say “This is not for me” and quit, that is the main reason why many careers stop in the middle.
First, understand one truth:
The truth is, a miracle will not happen in 3 months. But in 6–12 months, change will definitely be visible. Daily small progress + consistent effort… success does not come fast, it is a consistency game. Many people quit in between. But only those who cross that stage will see success.
Success is not a sprint… it is a marathon.
Success does not depend on speed. It depends on consistency. Working 10 hours a day and then doing nothing for the next 10 days is not success. Doing 1–2 hours daily, honestly and regularly, is the real change.
What is patience?
Patience means moving forward without stopping even when it looks like nothing is happening.
• Even if results are not visible
• Even if nobody recognizes you
You keep doing your work. That is patience.
What is discipline?
Working whether your mood is good or not. If you depend on motivation, you will work only for a few days. If you depend on discipline, you will work every day. Discipline is the engine that drives your future.
What should you do daily?
Not big steps… small progress is enough. Every day:
• Learn a little
• Practice a little
• Become a little better than yesterday
This is the compounding effect. Small efforts become big results over time.
Why do many people quit in the middle?
• They compare themselves with others
• They say “They achieved it, I didn’t”
• They think slow progress is failure
But the truth is, slow progress is also progress.
Why is this extremely important for middle-class youth?
For us:
• There is no strong background
• There are no shortcuts
• Second chances are less
Our only weapon is patience + discipline. If we have both, time itself will help us.
8. Financial Discipline & Realistic Awareness
Learning a skill, getting a job, or earning income is only one stage. But how we use that income decides our future. Many youth make mistakes exactly in this area.
As soon as the first income comes, many want to change their lifestyle. A new mobile, a new bike, unnecessary expenses, EMIs — these give temporary happiness but increase stress in the long run.
One truth must be understood here:
The first income is not for enjoyment, it is for security. After getting income, we should not increase expenses immediately, we should build a foundation for the future.
The real problem is not lack of money… the real problem is not knowing how to manage money.
Many say “I am not getting a good salary.” But in reality, they have not learned to use the money they get properly.
Financial discipline means:
• Separating needs and wants
• Spending according to income
• Repaying debts carefully
Only the one who learns this can truly live freely.
Don’t fall into the debt trap
Easy loans, credit cards, and EMIs attract youth. But remember: if debts increase before income increases, dreams slowly die. Debt is good if it is used for a real need. But debt taken for showing off will bind your future.
A small saving habit is the foundation stone of big security
The one who earns more is not the richest. The one who saves properly will live peacefully in the future. Every month:
• A little saving
• A little emergency fund
• A little investment in learning
When these three come together, financial stability comes.
Temporary sacrifice = long-term freedom
It may feel difficult to sacrifice a little now. But the same sacrifice makes life easier tomorrow. Just because everyone is enjoying, we don’t have to spend the same way. The day we can control money, we gain real control over life.
9. Right Friends & Building the Right Environment
The people around us and the environment we live in have a huge impact on how our life moves forward. This is a truth many understand late.
Our friendship decides our speed
People who always talk negatively, look down on our efforts, and repeatedly say “We can’t do it” slowly reduce our enthusiasm. If we spend time daily with such people, our thoughts also come down to the same level. That’s why we must remember: the people around us decide the speed of our future.
Who are the right people?
Right people are those who:
• Want to learn
• Work hard for their goals
• Understand your efforts
• Guide you instead of scolding you when you make mistakes
If you stay among such people, you will move forward without even realizing it.
What is the right environment?
The right environment means:
• An environment that supports your goal
• A situation that builds learning habits
• A place that gives peace to work
It can be a room, a group, or an online community.
A question for you:
After your degree, which direction do you want to go?
• Skill-based career?
• Govt + parallel path?
• Freelancing / digital work?
